Jen Chae is a lifestyle/beauty YouTuber also known as frmheadtotoe. Although she typically designs her own graphics, she was looking for a new thumbnail design for her "Mascara Showdown" series. Because her thumbnails are more minimal, she wanted something that was more fresh, colorful, and eye-catching for her next video in the series.​

For this project, I started by brainstorming a few color palettes, font choices, and hand-drawn elements to incorporate into the redesign. In order to visualize the thumbnail more, I ended up making my own mockups in three different styles for her to choose from. Excitedly enough, she liked my handwriting/hand-drawn aesthetic and I ended up with the final result above!
